Happy Anniversary Cuba Aliados!

I have been a big fan of the Cuba Aliados line for some time now. The Cuba Aliados name has built its legacy behind flavor, consistency, and value. Now Don Rolando Reyes Sr. has created the Cuba Aliados Anniversary to honor this brand that originated in Cuba over 100 years ago.

I knew the Anniversary blend was special when I heard the time and effort put into this project. The tobaccos used for this blend have been aged for 6 years, and have a limited production of only 200,000 to 300,000 cigars. I had the privilege to smoke a couple of these Cuba Aliados Anniversary cigars this week (Thanks Again Frank). The first one I tried was the Magico (6 x 48), a well-made Toro, with a rich Maduro wrapper that continued to build flavor from start to finish. It carried a medium bodied strength with a balanced aroma. The second one I tried was the Power (6 ½ x 56), a Super Toro that released pounds of smoke with every draw. Yes, it does have power, but with 6 years age added to a flawless Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper, “Smooth” should be it’s nickname.
