Thompson Powerhouse 30 Review - Socorro

Review Courtesy of the 3 Regular Guys at Thompson Cigar.

The Socorro bears the distinction of being the only torpedo in the Powerhouse 30. With a leathery, medium brown wrapper and slight olive hue, this cigar smelled pretty mild before lighting. Once lit it produced a good draw with cool smoke nicely concentrated on your palate due to the stick’s shape. The taste was spicy, but Dave thought it was woodier with a tang of citrus while Scott thought of spicy in the sense of herbs. Colm found the Socorro to be a little too mild for his taste. Each of our cigars had a flakey gray ash that wouldn’t stand a chance in a long ash contest but we didn’t care much since it remained a cool smoke.
